Shaitaan, starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika, hit theatres on March 8. Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that on its first day of release, the supernatural horror movie brought in Rs 14.5 crore. On Friday, the movie's overall Hindi occupancy was 25.70 percent. Under the direction of Vikas Bahl, Janki Bodiwala plays a crucial role in Shaitaan.
In just its second day, Shaitaan has already made Rs 4.90 crore from the sale of approximately 195,000 tickets. At the box office right now, the film has minimal competition. On Friday, Tera Kya Hoga Lovely, starring Ileana D'Cruz and Randeep Hooda, was also released.

With his most recent films, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and Dhokha Round D Corner, Madhavan had a mixed bag of results. Since Dhokha Round D Corner did not perform well and Rocketry had a poor start at the box office, the actor's release of Shaitaan was critically important. On its first day of release, Rocketry, a film inspired by the life of Nambi Narayanan, brought in Rs 1.78 crore. The movie was well-received by the public despite its sluggish beginning, and in four weeks it brought in Rs 34 crore in India. Dhokha Round D Corner, on the other hand, only made a total of Rs 3.25 crore at the box office due to its struggles. Nonetheless, Madhavan most recently made an appearance in the popular Netflix series The Railway Men. The last film that director Vikas Bahl directed was the renowned blockbuster Ganapath: Part 1. He was then accused of sexual misconduct during the #MeToo movement, although he denied it.
