Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ Trailer |
A trailer for the newest installment of the 20th Century Studios franchise, "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes," which is slated to release on May 24, 2024, has been released. The events of 2017's "War for the Planet of the Apes" are picked up several years later in the movie.
The fourth chapter in the modern "Planet of the Apes" saga will pick up several generations after the conclusion of the previous film, which featured Caesar's death. Apes now dominate the forest, and humans are a minority species. When a new, despotic ape begins to build his empire, a young ape sets out on a journey where he will make decisions that will shape the future for both apes and humans.
Owen Teague, Kevin Durand, Freya Allen, William H. Macy, and Peter Macon will be in the cast.
The director, Wes Ball, who is well-known for "The Maze Runner" trilogy, is working from a screenplay written by Josh Friedman, Patrick Aison, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver. Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping executive produced the movie, which was produced by Jaffa, Silver, Joe Hartwick Jr., and Jason Reed.
Ball revealed the completion of the film's production by sharing a behind-the-scenes video from the set, which started in Sydney in October 2022 and ended in February 2023.
